Feature Project – A Relationship Built to Last
Graham and Washington State University
Washington State University's (WSU) slogan reads, 'World Class. Face to Face' - a fitting motto considering Graham's approach to sustaining its 10-year relationship with the institution. Graham is very proud of this long-standing relationship and is committed to maintaining it well into the future.
With more than 26,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students - in programs such as chemical engineering, veterinary medicine, agriculture, architecture, neuroscience, criminal justice, and biological chemistry - WSU's needs are ever-expanding. Since 2001, Graham's Spokane branch has garnered over US$175 million in contracts from WSU. Construction projects have run the gamut from a health sciences building - Graham's first project - a multi-story student housing complex, a higher education facility for the nursing program, to renovations to WSU Martin Stadium. Most recently, Graham was awarded contracts for the US$25 million Northside Residence Hall and the US$65 million Biomedical and Health Sciences Building.
For the Northside Residence Hall, Graham is serving as design-builders of a new 100,000 sq. ft. (9,290 m2) 300-bed student residence building at the university's Pullman campus. The dormitory will include a variety of common spaces on the first floor to support the building's student community, including a living room and a recreational lounge. Graham's Spokane team began designing the building in October 2011, after winning a four month design-build competition. (more...)
